Privacy Policy

1. Who this policy covers

This policy covers bridgo.dev and the software BridGO publishes — currently Struna, and any future BridGO app, unless that app links to a policy of its own. Struna is a native macOS application; this policy applies the same way whether you're browsing the website or running the app.

2. Information collected on bridgo.dev

We use Google Analytics and Google Search Console to understand how people find and use this website — which pages are visited, which links are clicked, roughly which country visitors come from, and which search terms lead people here. These tools set cookies and collect standard technical data such as your browser, device type, and IP address, processed by Google rather than stored by us in identifiable form.

We don't use this data to build advertising profiles, run remarketing campaigns, or sell it to anyone. If you'd rather not be counted, a browser extension such as the Google Analytics Opt-out Add-on, or any ad/tracker blocker, will stop it — no account or setting on our side is required.

3. Information collected when you purchase Struna

Struna licenses are sold through Lemon Squeezy, our appointed reseller and Merchant of Record. When you buy a license, Lemon Squeezy — not BridGO — collects your name, email address, billing details, and payment information, processes the charge, handles applicable sales tax or VAT, and emails you your license key. We never see or store your card number.

Lemon Squeezy shares with us only what's needed to support you as a customer: your email address and order or license details. We use this solely to deliver support, answer license questions, and process refunds. Lemon Squeezy's own practices are described in the Lemon Squeezy Privacy Policy.

4. Information the Struna app handles on your device

Struna runs inside Apple's App Sandbox and can only read the folders and files you explicitly pick through the system's file picker — it has no access to anything else on your Mac. Your music library, playlists, folder structure, and listening activity are stored only in the app's own local data folder on your device and are never transmitted to BridGO.

When you activate a license, Struna sends your license key and a device identifier to Lemon Squeezy's License API, which confirms the activation. That confirmation is then stored locally on your device, so the app keeps working offline — a missing internet connection never locks you out.

5. Network connections the Struna app makes

Beyond your own choice to play internet radio, Struna's network activity is limited to:

• License activation and validation — your key and a device identifier, sent to Lemon Squeezy.
• Update checks — the app name, version, and OS version, sent to our update server so it can tell you when a new version is available. No personal data is included.
• Radio catalog availability checks — once a week, Struna quietly checks whether the stations in your library and our built-in catalog are still online. Each check is a direct request to that station's own address — nothing is sent to BridGO or to any analytics service. You can turn this off entirely in Settings → Radio.

Beyond these, Struna makes no network requests. There is no telemetry, no crash reporting, and no background analytics inside the app.

6. Radio streams and third-party content

When you play an internet radio station — whether from our built-in catalog or one you add yourself — your Mac connects directly to that station's own server, the same way a web browser would. That connection, and whatever the station itself logs about it (often just an IP address, like any web request), is between you and the station; it doesn't pass through BridGO. Station logos are fetched over HTTPS directly from the station's or its network's own servers.

7. Support requests

If you email [email protected], we keep the email address and message content to answer you and to have context if you write again. We don't use support conversations for marketing.

8. What we don't collect

• No accounts, passwords, or profiles
• No access to your file contents — only the fact that you selected certain folders
• No listening history, play counts, or library contents sent to us
• No microphone, camera, or contacts access
• No advertising trackers or pixels on the website
• We never sell or rent personal data to anyone

9. Data retention

Website analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics' default settings (currently 14 months for user-level data). Support emails are kept as long as useful for context — typically a few years — and can be deleted on request. Purchase and license records are retained by Lemon Squeezy under their own policy, and by us for as long as needed to provide support for your license.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal data we hold about you — for example under the GDPR in the EU/UK, or the CCPA in California. To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]; we'll respond within 30 days. For data held by Lemon Squeezy or Google on their own systems, you can also contact them directly.

11. International data transfers

Google (Analytics, Search Console) and Lemon Squeezy operate globally, including in the United States. Data you send them may be processed outside your own country. Both companies maintain their own safeguards for international transfers, such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

12. Children's privacy

bridgo.dev and Struna are not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us data, email [email protected] and we'll remove it.

13. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the date at the top and, for significant changes, note it on our changelog. Continuing to use bridgo.dev or Struna after a change means you accept the update.
